The Power to Govern, the Duty to Account
CENTS Governance Academy

CENTS Governance Academy

Built for the work of governing.

We train officials and institutions to make fiscal policy, draft law, and account to the public — with the power to govern and the duty to account.

Our story

Closing the gap between study and public work

Too often, training is either too theoretical or too short to change how ministries and agencies actually run. CENTS was founded to close that gap — with programmes rooted in statutes, budgets, treaties, and the rooms where decisions are made.

We combine workshops, drafting clinics, and longer courses so public servants and their partners can keep building fiscal capability across a career.

A continent where purpose-driven leaders have the mindsets, knowledge, and skills to design fairer fiscal systems and answer for public money.

Mission

Educate for policy, law, and accountability

To train through rigorous programmes, practitioner teaching, and applied clinics rooted in African experience — so institutions can govern with confidence and account with clarity.

How we work

From a fiscal problem to a workable answer

Every programme is built around the real constraints of public finance, law, and institutions — not abstract theory alone.

  1. 01 Diagnose Map the legal, fiscal, and institutional constraints.
  2. 02 Design Co-develop draft clauses, policy options, and tools.
  3. 03 Deliver Train cohorts and support rollout in the workplace.
